The USE-ME.GOV final international workshop, entitled Mobile services for
citizens: m-Government and the USE-ME.GOV Project Perspective, took place in
Lisbon on 22 March 2006.
The workshop was focused on users' needs (citizens, private actors, public
authorities, NGOs, etc.), and addressed the different aspects of the so called
'm-Government' area of interest. Main objective was to give participants the
context to analyze and share the e-government and e-governance themes seen
from a mobile services' perspective. A special session of the workshop was
dedicated to live demonstration of pilot services validated during the USE-ME.GOV
project. The background of invited speakers was very heterogeneous. Both EU
institutions, governmental bodies, Universities, industrial associations, and
Public administrations, i.e. all the main identified target groups of the project,
were represented – Click here to

The USE-ME.GOV Consortium attended the Conference and published a paper in
the conference proceedings by Helena Rodrigues, Jason Pascoe and César
Ariza (UniMinho).
